On 22 October 2019 the Home Secretary announced an independent public inquiry into the Manchester Arena attack on 22 May 2017.
Sir John Saunders, having acted as the Coroner responsible for conducting the Manchester Arena Inquests, was also appointed to chair the Inquiry on 22 October 2019.
The Inquiry investigates the deaths of the victims of the 2017 Manchester Arena attack and has the same scope as the Inquests.
The Inquiry hearings commenced on 7th September 2020. The purpose of this website is to provide information relating to the Inquiry and it will be continually updated as the hearings progress.
Due to Covid-19, it is not currently possible for members of the public to attend Inquiry hearings in person. As a result, hearings will be live-streamed from the Inquiry’s YouTube channel, found here.
Where possible, evidence and transcripts of each day’s hearings are made available on the website here.
