The Chairman of the Manchester Arena Inquiry, Sir John Saunders, has issued a ruling about the start date of The Manchester Arena Inquiry following a consultation with Core Participants regarding Covid-19. You can read the ruling in full here.

Due to the ongoing effects of Coronavirus / Covid-19 and the Government’s guidance, the 15th June 2020 start date for the Manchester Arena Inquiry will necessarily be vacated.

A provisional date of 7th September 2020 has been set for the start of the hearings. This date will be kept under review. Work on the Inquiry will continue in the meantime.

The April hearing will be held by video link. It will have an amended agenda to deal with one issue; an application for designation as Core Participants survivors of the Arena attack. The video link will be available to watch via the Manchester Arena Inquiry Website here.

The hearing scheduled for 6th May 2020 will not take place. It will therefore be adjourned to a date to be fixed closer to the start date of the hearings.
