Volumes Two and Three Monitored Recommendations, 7 June

On 7 June 2023, the Inquiry will hear evidence on behalf of a number of organisations regarding the monitored recommendations from the Volume 2 and Volume 3 reports. The Inquiry will hear from:

  • Emma Reed, Director for the Emergency Preparedness and Health Protection Directorate at the Department for Health and Social Care
  • Keith Prior, Director of the National Ambulance Resilience Unit
  • Shaun Hipgrave, Director of Protect and Prepare
  • Paul Mott, Head of His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service Joint Extremism Unit
  • Sachin Shah, Deputy Director of the Counter-Extremism division within the Department for Education

Chapter 14 Hearing, 15 February

The Inquiry is hearing Chapter 14 evidence covering preventability.

On 15 February the Inquiry will hear evidence from Prison Officer 1 who works at the prison where Abdalraouf Abdallah is being held. This evidence will be heard in restricted session. The Inquiry will also read a gist of the Chapter 14 CLOSED evidence and Oral submissions on the recalling of Witness J and Temporary ACC Dominic Scally.

The Inquiry is hearing Chapter 10 and 12 evidence covering care gap evidence and recommendations.

On 18 January, the Inquiry will hear evidence on the care gap from Pre-Hospital Doctors Lt Col Claire Park and Dr Gareth Davies, ACC Iain Raphael (Director for Operational Standards for the College of Policing), Temporary Assistant Chief Constable Wasim Chaudhry (GMP) and Mr Philip Cowburn MBE (National Ambulance Resilience Unit).
